Hello Brothers and Sisters,
The Pennsylvania AFL-CIO is now accepting applications for the 2026 Scholarship Essay Contest—and UFCW Local 360 members and their families are encouraged to apply.
As an affiliate, this is a great opportunity for our members and their children to earn scholarship money while learning about the importance of organized labor.

High School Seniors (Class of 2026)
Post-Secondary Students
(Must be members or immediate family of affiliated unions)
✍️ What to Expect
Students will write a 1,500-word essay on real issues impacting workers today—like inflation, AI, labor laws, and the future of work—and how unions play a role in protecting workers.
💰 Awards
1st Place: $2,000
2nd Place: $1,500
3rd Place: $1,000
